I played a lot of video games growing up, but I got really obsessed in middle school. I’d be thinking about what I felt like playing when I got home all day and then after the bus dropped me off I’d run for the house and head straight down to the basement. My mom had a pretty hands-off parenting style, so she never bugged me about it. She kinda just trusted me that I was still doing my homework….So you can imagine how disappointed she was when she finally got a call from one of my teachers. At the time, it felt so worth it.
